How to choose the right seeds?
3 steps to the first seed selection
- First, let's clarify where the seeds we want. On a shelf in a room ( indoor ) or elsewhere ( outdoor )? Use the Indoor and Outdoor categories to select a suitable model according to location.
- Do you have any collecting experience? If not, we recommend starting with higher quality models that have a good genetic basis and come from a well-known seed bank. Feminized varieties will certainly be far more suitable.
- Choose newer models instead. As in all fields, breeding is still moving forward. Today, leave rather nostalgic models from the 80's and 90's to experienced collectors.

Feminized seeds have a modified genetic structure. From the feminized seeds in the Netherlands grow female plants - flowering. Males are born from non-feminized seeds (standardized / regular) in a ratio of about 50:50. Males are used for pollination, crossbreeding, as technical hemp, etc .. You can recognize males by a few centimeter protrusions rising from the stem at the twigs.

Autoflowering varieties
Self-flowering cannabis varieties get into the flowering phase faster. They are designed especially for outdoor cultivation - outdoor. Some varieties reach flowering in as little as 6 weeks! Such modified species can be planted outside in a longer period of time. When sowing standard varieties outside, it is important what the light intensity is during the year. Common varieties do not begin to bloom until the equinox begins outside. This problem is solved by self-flowering varieties, which are far more benevolent in this respect and do not need a standard time of day and night cycle. Indoor x Outdoor
When choosing seeds, it is important to pay attention to the correct placement of the variety. Some outdoor varieties cannot be grown indoors at all, unless otherwise stated in the product information. For most indoor varieties, you can also read the harvest time in natural conditions. For indoor cannabis varieties, the yield depends mainly on the cannabis variety, whether the plants are grown from seed or cuttings, flowering time and climate.
THC and CBD content
For most varieties, the percentages of THC and CBD are reported, although it is cannabioids that make them an illegal drug. Technical cannabis, which is the only legal cannabis with a less than negligible THC content, contains less than 0.2 percent THC and is suitable for cultivation fully legally without possible penalties (for home cultivation). Cannabis are substances by which the effect can be determined - '' high ''. Varieties range in amount from 5-25% THC. However, the THC content is not decisive for the final effect, varieties with a lower THC content can have much better effects.
The CBD content is up to about 1%. However, there are models with a CBD content of around 5%, but this is at the expense of THC. This substance has soothing effects. A good variety in the Netherlands is characterized by a balanced content of both of these components.
How to recognize good seeds in general?
Quality seeds look healthy at first glance. They are solid, definitely should not be cracked or cracked, they are all about the same size and have a similar color and stains. Germination of quality seeds is about ± 95% and will last for several years. We store the seeds in refrigerated boxes with a temperature above freezing.
Plant yield
