The results of this study maybe a very important step towards the future enactment of cannabis epilepsy treatment, whether in children or adults. In addition, many of the patients suffering from this disease have exhausted all legal treatment options, with no success. Medical cannabis is in these cases literally the last resort.

Studies continue

But what is also important to mention is the fact that not all patientswas treatment with CBD successful. During the three months of Dr. Devinskys study, 16% of the participants had to retire from the testing. The reason was either the adverse side effects of the treatment, or the simple decision that the treatment was not helping. In addition, in one of the one-year studies, one in 25 patients experienced a case of an increase in seizure frequency.

Method of application The active substance CBD did not take the form of smoking or vaporization, the patients were given on a daily basis pure extract containing plant CDB.

The best-known case is Charlotte Figi, a girl from the US state of Colorado, who has quite possibly started the whole process of research associated with the treatment of epilepsy with CBD. Sharlotin Web, a variety with a high CBD content, has proven to reduce the number of seizures from about 1,200 per month to just 3.
