How to keep seeds and keep germination

You can buy Silica Gel on a weight or rather a volume, 1 liter costs a few tens of crowns. Its main advantage is that it can be dried again and used. It is chemically neutral and safe.

If you do not have a silica gel or a cat, ordinary rice can help.
Pour the porous substance into the bottom of the container approximately to 1/4 and separate it from the seeds with a cotton wool, a soft cloth. Close the container tightly and leave at room temperature for one day. 
Rule # 2 - Temperature
In general, the lower the temperature, the better . At the same time, the seed temperature should be stable .
At home, however, this can be difficult to achieve.
There are two ways of storage. It is preferable to have seeds below freezing, especially for long-term storage over the years and to maintain the best quality. However, it is necessary to delete the seeds quickly which may not be handled by a normal freezer. The seeds are erased at a temperature of about -25 ° C, thereby prolonging the germination time 4 times. Normally, freezers are around -6 ° C, the most powerful freezers are set to -24 ° C. If the freezer allows you, set the temperature as low as possible before freezing, -18 ° C is already a very good freezing temperature. If you have obavy, it will help you when the seeds are frozen in an open container, it will be faster.
Place the seeds in the freezer as low as possible, backwards, where the temperature is more stable than the door.
The second option, rather short-term, is a fridge, pantry or cellar where there are no temperature fluctuations. Here is the temperature above freezing, so we do not have to worry about the damage to the seeds due to poor freezing. In the case of a space like a pantry, the cellar must not freeze the seeds. Here a stable climate plays a major role. If you are choosing a fridge, be sure to go back to the bottom, avoid placing yourself in the fridges! 
Rule # 3 - Light
Some seeds require light to germinate. Darkness is never harmful in keeping. By far the worst is to leave the seeds in direct sunlight, then dew can occur. Keep the container in the dark.
Even at home, you can keep seeds germinating for many years. Drought, cold and dark - these are three basic simple rules.
The CO² atmosphere in the container will greatly increase germination.
