When Sam the Skunksman landed in the Netherlands in 1982, where he wanted to hide from the political oppression of the then United States government, he had a fairly rich package of cannabis seeds with him. It was this package that completely and permanently transformed the entire European scene.

Neville Shoemaker's early history is not exactly what teenagers should follow. Even before the cannabis success, this Australian native experienced big bites of problems, during which he managed to test and produce a lot of different drugs. However, without his severe heroin addiction, he would never have gotten to a hospital in the Netherlands, where he got rid of his addiction and found his new muse.
After leaving Neville Hospital, he received a generous grant to start his brand new business. Neville did not hesitate, bought goods near the German border and immediately equipped them with large greenhouses full of industrial lamps. He proudly called this place Hemp Castle. After breeding several stable models, Neville became the first person to work with the postal service and send cannabis seeds throughout Europe. The year was 1984, when a seed bank called The Seedbank of Holland was established.
