Terpens contained in cannabis variety Cookies Gelato
Limonene - A terpene with a characteristic citrus aroma in which it is commonly found, Limonene is another member of the cannabis terpene family. Limonene is a powerful antioxidant with anti-inflammatory and antiviral effects. In aromatherapy, it is used in the supportive treatment of respiratory ailments.
Karyofylen - This terpene present in marijuana comes from the world of spices, herbs and vegetables. It has a spicy aroma with woody notes. In addition to the anti-inflammatory effects typical of other terpenes, it has an analgesic effect and is therefore useful not only in the treatment of inflammatory diseases, but also in the treatment of pain.
Humulen - Terpenes with a strong earthy, spicy aroma and pungent flavour can be found in hemp, ginger, cloves or coriander, but also in hops. Its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties make it suitable for inhalation as an adjunctive treatment for upper and lower respiratory tract problems.
Ocimen - Its pleasant sweet scent with floral accents is ideal for perfume making. It is found in cannabis as well as in various herbs, especially basil. Thanks to its antifungal properties, it is a useful helper in dealing with skin problems.
Menthol - without mint full of menthol, we would hardly enjoy a mojito. Its fresh and cooling aroma is familiar to everyone. Menthol, which is also found in marijuana plants, is added to chewing gum and toothpaste, but less well known is its use in medicine, where its potential against cancer is being researched.
