Our organically created thyme essential oil is distilled by steam from delicate, light purple flowers and aromatic green leaves of four different types of thyme herbs grown in bright, sunny fields along the Spanish landscape.

Our very fine thyme essential oil has a wonderful aroma - diffuse, spicy, warm, sweet herb, pure and soft with a slight pepper undertone and a fine woody-herb tail.

It is a decorative herb that is covered for two or three summer months with delicate pale violet flowers that are very fragrant. This makes them an attractive piece for bees and culinary.

There are several different chemotypes of thyme essential oil - these genetic variations occur in plants of the same genus and species when grown at different altitudes, different soils, or at different climatic conditions.

Our thyme essential oil is known to have the same therapeutic properties as all these other chemotypes and is safer to use than most other thyme oils that tend to have a high content of skin-irritating phenol compounds such as Thymol and Carvacrol.

It is preferred for general aromatherapy use as well as for skin care.
