Medical cannabis in pharmacies
Prescription Cannabis? Many patients cheered. However, it happened after they learned more, unfortunately, less pleasant details. About a month ago , the Ministry of Health completed a draft decree of the Medical Cannabis Act. According to her, the doctor can prescribe 30 grams of cannabis per month for a patient older than 19 years. Is it little or too much?
It all depends on the patient's diagnosis and this is where, according to many, there is an accident. Medical cannabis can only be prescribed for the following diseases:

chronic intractable pain

spasticity and associated pain in multiple sclerosis

spinal cord injury
-
nausea, vomiting, appetite stimulation related to cancer treatment or HIV treatment

Tourette's syndrome
Thus, the most frequent users who have loudly fought for the legalization of marijuana for medical purposes are missing, and these are people suffering from Parkinson's disease .
In addition, only a select group of doctors specializing in clinical or radiation oncology, neurology, palliative medicine, rheumatology, pain management, orthopedics, infectious medicine, internal medicine and psychiatry can prescribe them.
Doctors can then prescribe these types of cannabis - cannabissativacontentTHC 12, 19 and 6 percent and cannabisindicacontentTHC 14 percent.
Everything can be said from the Dutch model, but it is difficult to adapt to our state.
How much will it cost?
Price still not clear because the importer is still needed. Growing for medical purposes will be allowed in the Czech Republic from next year, and so far no distributor has applied for a license to import marijuana from the Netherlands .
However, price guessing is currently different, but experts generally agree that the amount of money will exceed 250 CZK per gram of cannabis. It is therefore estimated that monthly cannabis treatment could cost around 10,000 for patients using a total of 30 gramsCZK.Instead, domestic cultivation is several times cheaper. the patient only need hemp seedsfor which they pay several hundred crowns. The substrate is a cheaper item and some fertilizer again in the order of hundred crowns. Instead of a price for 4 grams of medicinal cannabis in a pharmacy, it can have tens, even hundreds of grams of medicinehemp grown at home. Moreover, it has a great choice because there are already models for specific diseases, even with specific flavors. For example, special varieties with a higher CBD buffer content or hemp especially suitable for pain.
The only 50:50 THC and CBD cannabinoid drug available is oral S sprayativexthat will cost patients approximately 15 - 40 thousand crowns a month according to the type of disease. However, its availability is very limited
Finally, I will add that no health insurance company is currently paying for cannabis treatment and I do not plan to do so yet.
